How can I access the restaurant?

Siren Kitchen & Bar is located on Essex Island, just offshore from downtown Essex. It is accessible by ferry or by boat.

How often does the ferry run?

The ferry runs continuously during the open hours of the restaurant, rain or shine.

How long is the ferry ride?

The ferry ride is less than a minute long.

Is there a charge for the ferry?

The ferry ride is free.

Where do I catch the ferry?

The ferry picks up at the corner of Ferry Street and Pratt Street.

Where can I park?

Street parking is available, as well as Dauntless Shipyard, a gravel parking lot on Pratt Street.

Can I dock my boat at Safe Harbor to access the restaurant?

Yes, slips are available either hourly, nightly or for the season. Tune into Ch. 9 or call 860-767-2483 for dockage assistance.

Is the restaurant handicap accessible?

Yes, the restaurant is handicap accessible. The ferry can accommodate a wheelchair. Surfaces do include wooden and metal docks as well as a gravel walking path. Please feel free to reach out with any specific questions.

What kind of seating is available?

While our outdoor patio seating is our main attraction, we do have cozy indoor seating also available.

Do you allow dogs on the patio?

We do not allow any pets on our patio or in the restaurant, only service animals.

Do you accept reservations?

We do not accept reservations apart from large private parties. See private party page for details.

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes, we have a full bar with both indoor and outdoor bar seating.

Do you offer takeout?

Yes, we do have takeout.

Do you host private events?

Are you open year round?

We are a seasonal restaurant and close during the coldest months.
